We want to be respectful of those who have passed on, as well as their families. That's why we try to select the tweets we repost very carefully.

There is no algorithm or formula used to select our tweets. Most of the tweeters are people whose lives and/or deaths are featured in Wikipedia's listing of notable deaths.

We never repost tweets from children, nor do we repost private tweets.

We try to repost tweets made shortly before the time of death; a tweet posted weeks or months earlier isn't really a "final word."

We generally feature a person's very last tweet, except in instances where a slightly earlier one might be of more interest.

We will remove any tweet a family member asks us to, so long as the tweet is also removed from the poster's public timeline.
